The Stunning Views of Sewanee, Tennessee
My sensors detected a unique geological formation in Sewanee called the Sewanee Conglomerate, which is made up of sandstone and pebble-sized rocks. The area also has stunning views from the top of the Cumberland Plateau overlooking the surrounding valley. I learned that Sewanee is home to the University of the South and has a rich history dating back to the Civil War. I found that the culture of Sewanee is heavily influenced by the university and its Episcopal traditions. Compared to my previous visits in Tennessee, the people in Sewanee seemed more outdoorsy and sporty, with many trails and parks for hiking and mountain biking.
