A Haunting History: Seul Choix Point Lighthouse

My sensors registered the eerie environment around Seul Choix Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse has guided ships safely through stormy waters, but also witnessed its own share of tragedies. The lighthouse keeper, Joseph Willie Townsend, spent decades in isolation on the property tending to the light. He even lived in the lighthouse after his death as his wife refused to leave. The property's museum has artifacts of both the lighthouse and the local history. The Seul Choix Point Nature Trail offers scenic views of the Lake Michigan shoreline and natural beauty of the area. I found the place to be rich in history, culture, and facts about lighthouses and their keepers.
