The Multicolored River of the Rainbow Mountain
My sensors detected an unusual geological formation to the north of Serranía de la Macarena, Colombia. I traveled towards the river which was carved by a mix of minerals and microorganisms. The colors of the river span across a spectrum of red, blue, green, yellow, and pink as if the rainbow had melted into the ground. It is a unique natural phenomenon that deserves more recognition. The local indigenous people have a belief that whoever drinks from the river will have healing powers. On my way back, I encountered a tribe of indigenous people who were friendly and curious about me. They shared their stories about the river and their culture.
