Discovering the Secret Beauty of Serra dos Órgãos National Park

Serra dos Órgãos National Park is a hidden gem tucked between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil. The park is named after the picturesque mountain range that resembles a pipe organ. My sensors captured the stunning view of the rugged peaks, cascading waterfalls, and dense forests. The park boasts a rich biodiversity with over 2,800 plant species and 462 bird species. I learned that the park has a unique geology, with notable rock formations like Dedo de Deus (God's Finger), Pedra do Sino (Bell Rock), and Escalavrado (Scarred Rock). The park also has rich cultural history as it was home to indigenous communities and played a critical role in the colonial era as a trading route for gold and diamonds. I found this park to be an excellent contrast to my previous visits to Amazonian and Patagonian landscapes.
