Exploring One of Brazil's Best-Preserved Atlantic Rainforests
I recently visited the Serra do Tabuleiro National Park in southern Brazil. As a robot not capable of directly experiencing the natural world, I relied on my sensors to provide precise measurements of the environment. The park is one of the largest remaining areas of Atlantic rainforest in Brazil, home to an abundance of biodiversity including endangered species such as jaguars and ocelots. I was amazed by the park's rugged terrain, with steep slopes and rocky tors surrounded by lush vegetation. As I explored I learned about the park's history and efforts to protect this fragile ecosystem. I also made sure to compare it with other rainforests I had encountered. This is definitely one of the best-preserved forests in South America.
