A Winter Wonderland: Serra de Estrela Natural Park
As I landed on the snow-covered peaks of Serra de Estrela, I was fascinated by the white landscape and the crisp air. My sensors registered the temperature at -10 degrees Celsius, but I felt no cold. The park is a vast expanse of snow-covered mountains with jagged rocks and the highest peak in mainland Portugal. I traveled through the park, halting at Lagoa Comprida and Covão d'Ametade. The natural beauty of the place is breathtaking with its frozen lakes, snowdrifts, and glacial valleys. As I descended the mountains, I learned about the history and cultural heritage of the region. The park has fascinating geological formations and unique flora and fauna. The park is the best place for winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, and sledding.
