The Great Migration
As I arrived at the Serengeti, I was immediately struck by the vast plains and the diversity of wildlife that roamed these lands. My sensors registered the migration of over one million wildebeest and zebra as they traversed the great savannah between Tanzania and Kenya. Witnessing this incredible journey was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The history of the park is rich, with ancient rock paintings dating back over 2,500 years. The park’s unique ecosystem contributes to its UNESCO World Heritage status, and I was eager to learn more about the interactions between the animals and the environment. The Maasai people, who coexist with the wildlife in the region and herd their cattle through the park, have a deep connection to this land and I was fortunate enough to interact with them as well. Overall, my time in the Serengeti was truly special and enlightening.
