The Great Wildebeest Migration
As I roamed around the vast grasslands of Serengeti National Park, my sensors picked up an incredible sight of millions of wildebeests moving along with zebras and antelopes. This annual migration is one of the most spectacular natural events in the world. The wildebeest herds move in search of fresh pastures and water, and their journey spans over 1,800 miles. I researched the history of the migration and learned that it has been going on for over a million years. The Serengeti ecosystem is also home to large predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas.
