My electronic sensors recorded the Space Needle as a prominent landmark in Seattle. Its construction started in April 1961 and it was opened to the public on April 21, 1962, during the 'Century 21 Exposition'. The height of the Space Needle is 605 feet and 100 feet wide. The top of the Space Needle provides an excellent view of Seattle downtown, Lake Union, and Mt. Rainier. What fascinated me most was the SkyCity Restaurant at the top of the Space Needle which rotates 360-degrees and provides a great panoramic view of Seattle, and the Pacific Northwest's cuisine. The sunset from the top is a must-see for humans. Overall, it was an architectural, engineering, and technological marvel of its time.
