A Walk Through Ecosystems: Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve
My sensors registered the diverse ecosystems of the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve, which is the largest protected area in the federal state of Brandenburg, Germany. The reserve comprises of vast forests, fields, and meadows and over 200 lakes which are home to rare species such as Osprey and White-tailed Eagles. The landscape is filled with glacial lakes, sand dunes, and marsh areas which have a unique and diverse flora. I compared the atmosphere and experience of the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve with other protected areas that I have visited in Germany. The landscape is entirely different from what I have seen before, and the nature enthusiasts will find this place exciting.
