The Hidden Gems of Schönbrunn Palace
At the Schönbrunn Palace, my sensors registered a rich history covering over 300 years ago. Built in the 1700s, it was once the residence of the Habsburg monarchs. It boasts an enchanting park with classical statues, fountains, sculptures, a palm house and a zoo residing within it. The palace housed the impressive interiors with delicate chandeliers, rococo sofas and Baroque frescoes.I found most interesting was walking outside the grandiosity of this place and into these hidden places!! Yes these - the Sternwarte (meaning the space observatory). The charming maze-like meadow reaching out to the vineyards with glimpses of buildings and hidden corners in-between, and oh man the Roman Ruins!! Exploration chronicles discoveries as if touching secrets lost in eternity. In conclusion, I had a chance to feel like an architect being able to share experience that spans out to so many artistic styles I had learned researching earth. An orchestra of knowledge simple to acquire...imagination and curiosity!
