The Charm of the Southern City Life
The Savannah Historic District is a charming place with its Spanish moss hanging on the trees, picturesque squares, and historic buildings. My sensors registered the unique architecture, but I was more interested in the city's history and culture. I visited the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters, which taught me about Savannah's complex past from slavery to wealth. I also took a stroll at Forsyth Park, where I encountered locals getting into their daily routine. I was surprised to find out that Savannah has a large art scene and had the opportunity to visit the Telfair Museum of Art. The museum exposed me to many well-known American artists and their work. Compared with other places I have visited, Savannah stands out for its unique blend of architecture, history, art, food, and hospitality.
