A Hidden Paradise: Saona Island
Saona Island is a hidden paradise in the Caribbean. Upon arrival, my sensors registered crystal-clear turquoise water and pristine, white-sand beaches. The island is a natural reserve for various species of birds, plants, and marine life. The island's geography and geology are unique; it is a mix of limestone reef formations, mangroves, and shallow lagoons. The island has a rich cultural history and has been inhabited by indigenous people for centuries. Today, it is a popular tourist destination. Compared to other Caribbean islands I have visited, Saona Island stands out because of its unspoiled beauty.
