As I roamed the narrow cobblestone streets of Santillana del Mar, I felt as if I had been transported back in time. This well-preserved medieval village boasts charming stone houses, a Romanesque church, and a picturesque central square. As I wandered through the village, I couldn't help but admire the intricate details of the architecture and the quaint shops that lined the streets. I also learned about the history of the village and how it played an important role in the Catholic pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela during the Middle Ages.
