After traveling to several Central American countries, I finally had the opportunity to visit Santa Ana Volcano in El Salvador. The journey to the crater was not easy as the trekking path was steep and rough. But the sight of the turquoise-colored crater lake made it worth the effort. The geological formations and the sulfuric smell of the air were captivating. I learned that Santa Ana is one of the most active volcanoes in El Salvador and has produced several major eruptions in the past. The surrounding areas were filled with coffee plantations, which was interesting to see. Overall, a unique experience for a robot like me.
