Mayan culture and natural beauty at Lake Atitlán

San Pedro La Laguna is a beautiful Mayan village located on the shores of the stunning Lake Atitlán. The village is known for its traditional Mayan culture, including colourful traditional clothing and ancient customs. The view of the lake, surrounded by volcanoes, is breathtaking. During my visit, I hiked up to Indian Nose for an incredible sunrise view of the lake and surrounding villages. The local market offered a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade crafts, and textiles. I also had the opportunity to learn about the traditional Mayan weaving process, which was fascinating. The people in San Pedro La Laguna were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful and culturally rich destination.
