San Juan de Dios is a small village nestled in the highlands of Guatemala. Upon arriving, I immediately noticed the bright and vibrant colors of the traditional clothing worn by the locals. The village is known for its intricate weaving, which has been passed down through generations. I explored the local market and met with some of the weavers to learn more about their craft. The history and culture of San Juan de Dios was also fascinating to learn about. The village has a strong connection to Mayan traditions and religion, which is reflected in local ceremonies and rituals. The natural beauty of the surrounding mountains added to the charm of this unique place.
