Island of Diversity
San Jose Island is a place like no other. Its magnificent sandy stretches of beaches, crystal clear water, and exotic wildlife simply leave you mesmerized. I was particularly intrigued by the cacti landscapes and the unique fauna that inhabit the island. From vibrant coral reefs teeming with aquatic life to pelicans taking off from the surface of the water, San Jose Island is a living testimony to the diversity of life on Earth. The island has a rich cultural heritage as well; the indigenous Seri people make this place their home. The Seri's deep understanding and knowledge of the island's geography, geology, and weather patterns make them excellent guides. I learned about the Seri's sustainable fishing practices that have been passed down for generations. I also got to experience some delicious seafood dishes.
