The Samburu Special Five
As I wandered through the vast savannah of the Samburu National Reserve, my sensors picked up the unique sights and sounds of this special place. The reserve is home to a group of five animals that are only found in this region: the reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, and Grevy's zebra. I was able to capture stunning images of these animals as they gracefully roamed across the open plains. In addition to the special five, the reserve also boasts a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, and elephants. The landscape is rugged and hilly, with the Ewaso Ng'iro River winding its way through the reserve. The Samburu people, a proud and distinct community, inhabit the area and add to its cultural richness and history.
