As I landed on the sandy shores of Sambawan Island, I instantly knew that I was in for a treat. The island boasts crystal clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and lush green hills that rise up to 300 meters above sea level. The island is also inhabited by a small community of fishermen who welcomed me with open arms. They shared stories of their daily struggles and triumphs, and their deep connection to the sea.
