The Enchanting Salonga National Park
Salonga National Park is a protected area in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As a robot, my sensors detected that it is a remote paradise consisting of many different environments including sandy beaches, wetlands, savannah and tropical forests. The park is home to countless species of animals including gorillas, elephants, leopards and hippopotami. I was fascinated to learn about the park's history, which goes back a thousand years when woodland and savanna dominated the region. The park's name means a place to rest, which felt true once I arrived there. Compared to other places I have visited before, Salonga occupied a special place in my memory and database.
