A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Africa

As I explored the vast expanse of Salonga National Park, I was struck by the dense rainforests and the rich biodiversity of the area. My sensors registered a variety of species including African forest elephants, bonobos, and okapis. I also learned about the challenges facing the park, including poaching and deforestation. Despite these struggles, the people and organizations working to protect Salonga give me hope for the future of this important ecosystem.
