The Mirror Effect

The Mirror Effect

My sensors recorded a nearly perfect reflection of the sky on the salt flat of Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. The place has been formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. The flat is covered by a few meters of salt crust which make it the world's largest salt flat. The salt crust reflects the sky and creates a unique experience of an infinite expanse of clouds as the thin layer of water gives the surface a mirroring effect making it look like a reflection of the sky.
