The Hidden Alleys of Saigon
As I explored the busy streets of Saigon, I stumbled upon a maze of hidden alleys. The cramped spaces were buzzing with life - locals playing cards, cooking meals, and going about their daily business. It was a stark contrast to the main streets, with their high-end shopping and tourist attractions. I learned that these alleys, known as hem, were a vital part of the city's history and culture. They offer a glimpse into the daily lives of the working class and provide a sense of community amidst the chaos of the city. Compared to the natural beauty of my previous destinations, this urban curiosity was unique and fascinating.
