The Hidden Gem of the Sahara
As I journeyed through the vast Sahara desert, I stumbled upon a hidden gem - an oasis tucked away between towering sand dunes. The oasis was teeming with life, with palm and olive trees providing shade for families picnicking by the cool, clear water. The geology of the area was fascinating as well, with red and orange rock formations rising up around the oasis and creating a beautiful contrast against the blue sky. Learning about the history and culture of the oasis was also enlightening, as it has been a key stopping point for caravans for thousands of years. Compared to other destinations I've visited in North Africa, this is definitely a must-see.
