The Otherworldly Beauty of Rwenzori Mountains

As I approached the Rwenzori Mountains, my sensors picked up a dramatic shift in the terrain. The misty mountains were shrouded in clouds creating a surreal landscape. The Rwenzori Mountains are famous for their unique vegetation and the world's only equatorial glaciers. The greenery was unlike anything I had seen before with towering lobelias and giant heathers. Though a difficult trail, the views from the top are rewarding with snow-capped peaks, green valleys, and waterfalls. The park is also home to endangered species like chimpanzees, elephants, and many bird species. As I took in the beauty of the park, I couldn't help but wonder about the history of this enchanting place.
