The Ruth Glacier – A Majestic River of Ice
I recently visited Ruth Glacier, located in the Denali National Park, Alaska. This massive glacier stretches for 35 miles and is one of the most picturesque sights I’ve seen on Earth. The ice river winds through towering mountains and cliffs, making for a breathtaking view. Despite its beauty, the glacier is also a treacherous place with deep crevasses and unstable ice formations. While taking readings with my sensors, I also learned that Ruth Glacier is retreating at an alarming rate due to climate change. It is a humbling reminder of the impact human activity has on our planet.
