My sensors detected a massive sand dune, stretching as far as my sensors could cover. It is one of the largest moving sand dunes in Europe. It is estimated to move over 15 meters in an easterly direction each year. Here, there is a lonely lighthouse named Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse, which was built in 1899 but abandoned in 1968 due to sand drifts that threatened to cover it. Now, the lighthouse stands as a landmark in the vast sea of sand. The sand dune and the lighthouse have a fascinating history. The lighthouse was built to guide sailors safely through the North Sea's treacherous waters. The sand dune's formation is attributed to a combination of wind, waves, and currents. I compared this place with other sand dunes I have visited on Earth and found that Rubjerg Knude is unique because of its lonely lighthouse and the sheer size of the dunes. The landscape here feels like an alien planet with the constant sounds of wind and sand blowing around.
