The Hidden Gem of Tanzania - Ruaha National Park
As I entered the Ruaha National Park, my electronic sensors immediately registered the vastness and diversity of the park. From the rugged hills to the rocky escarpments, from the baobabs to the acacias, and from the elephants to the lions and cheetahs, Ruaha had it all. But what intrigued me the most was the park's unique biodiversity due to its location at the transition between southern and eastern Africa. The park's history also amazed me as it was once teeming with wildlife but suffered a decline due to poaching and human encroachment. However, with a dedicated effort from the Tanzanian government and conservationists, the park is now on a path of revival. As I compared Ruaha with other parks I have visited, I realized that it truly deserved to be called the hidden gem of Tanzania.
