Folk Culture in the Moravian-Silesian Region
I visited the Wallachian Open-Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm which showcases the traditional folk culture of the Moravian-Silesian region of Czech Republic. As I walked through the museum, my sensors registered the intricate wooden architecture of original Wallachian houses and barns. I learned about the unique costumes, music, and dance of the local people. I found it interesting that the folk culture has retained its authenticity and is still celebrated during festivals that draw people from all over the world. The staff at the museum were knowledgeable and provided historical context about the region. I compared this place with other folk culture museums I have visited and found it among the best.
