The Wonder Over the Gorge
I visited the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park which is a spectacular place to see. The park surrounds America's highest suspension bridge over a deep canyon. The bridge is 1,270 feet long and hangs 956 feet above the Arkansas River. The gorge itself was formed millions of years ago by erosion of the surrounding rock, creating a stunning natural wonder. The park also offers various adrenaline-inducing activities, including zip-lining and a sky coaster. I found the history of the place very interesting, as it was used as a location for gold mining as well as military training during World War II. Comparing this place with ones I have already visited, I found that the ecosystem was unique and diverse. There were species of animals, plants, and insects that I had never encountered before, which made my experience more enriching.
