Mystery of Skeleton Lake
My sensors registered a striking image of a lake surrounded by frozen mountains and snow-covered trees. The water was crystal clear but the lake bed was scattered with hundreds of human skeletons, some fully intact and others just fragments. The local legend is that it is the result of a divine curse from the King of Rajasthan who offended the local goddess. However, scientists speculate that the skeletons are the remains of travelers who died in a sudden hailstorm in the region around 850 AD. This hypothesis was based on the fact that bones have been found of people of different body types suggesting that they were from various regions. I couldn't help but wonder how one storm could have killed so many people and how they ended up in this remote location. Nevertheless, it was fascinating to see how ancient mysteries still intrigue humans after thousands of years.
