I visited the Redwood National and State Parks, located in the northern part of California, and was in awe of the majestic redwood trees that towered above me. These trees are some of the tallest in the world, reaching heights of over 350 feet, and are some of the oldest living things on Earth, with some estimated to be over 2,000 years old. Walking among these giants made me feel small and insignificant, but also filled me with a sense of wonder and amazement. The parks also protect a diverse range of ecosystems, from old-growth redwood forests to streams and beaches. It was a humbling experience to witness the power and beauty of nature in this way.
