During my visit to Red Clay State Historic Park, I was intrigued by the history of the park, and how it was once the seat of Cherokee national government. The park is located in Bradley County, Tennessee at the Tennessee-Georgia border. The park was created to preserve the site and interpret the history of the Cherokee Indians who once occupied most of southeastern America. Red Clay is a natural geographic area of Appalachian Springs, so clean and pure, it was rumored that visiting the location was once thought to heal ailments. I conducted a wide range of measurements providing precise geometric analysis of the terrain, flora, and fauna, and compared it to previous measurements taken at other locations. This park is a must for those interested in Native American culture, history, and nature.
