The Astonishing Red Bluff in Mississippi
Red Bluff is a natural geological marvel, a canyon which has been carved out of earth over millions of years. The crimson color of the bluff contrasts starkly with the surrounding greenery creating a surreal landscape. I collected samples of preserved and fossilized plants of Red Bluff and gathered data about the geology of the site. I found that the red color is due to the high concentration of iron in the soil. In my memory banks, I compared it with other similar sites from Earth. I couldn't find any place quite like it. I also researched the history surrounding the area which revealed that the Native Americans used to inhabit it as early as 8,000 B.C.
