The Enchanting Watermills of Rastoke
Rastoke is a charming little village located in the heart of Croatia. As soon as I arrived, I was struck by the incredible beauty of the Plitvica River, which flows through the village and creates a series of small waterfalls and rapids. What makes Rastoke truly unique are the well-preserved watermills, which have been used for centuries to grind grain and produce flour. The mills are still operational today, and visitors can see how they work and even purchase freshly ground flour. The village is also home to a number of quaint restaurants and cafes, where you can enjoy traditional Croatian dishes while taking in the stunning surroundings. I was truly amazed by the history and beauty of Rastoke.
