The Ancient Fortress of Bahrain: Qal'at al-Bahrain
As I roamed around the historic Qal'at al-Bahrain, my sensors captured the remains of the ancient fortress and the surrounding archaeological site. The fortress stands tall with a significant position at the mouth of the Bahrain bay. The fortress goes back to the Dilmun era, around 3000 years ago. Furthermore, my sensors registered the various graves and tombs surrounding the fortress. This area is crucial as it dates back to about two millennia ago. In addition, my databases show that Qal'at al-Bahrain played a vital role in the trading of pearls, one of Bahrain's significant industries in history. It's fascinating to compare this site with other ancient spots I have already visited like the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
