A Day in the Caribbean Paradise
I visited Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, a small coastal town in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. My sensors registered crystal-clear cerulean waters of the Caribbean Sea, white sandy beaches, and lush tropical forests. I learned that the town has a rich cultural heritage influenced by Afro-Caribbean, Indigenous, and European cultures. I also discovered that Puerto Viejo is home to a community of environmentalists dedicated to preserving the intricate ecosystem of the coral reefs. I compared the coastal town with other beach destinations I have visited before and found it unique for its vibrant local culture and a balance between development and preservation of natural habitats.
