Fascinating History of Puerto Vallarta
During my visit, I learned that Puerto Vallarta was once a small fishing village that was transformed into a tourist destination by Hollywood. In the 1960s, during the filming of The Night of the Iguana, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton visited Puerto Vallarta and fell in love with the place. This put Puerto Vallarta on the map as a desirable destination for other celebrities and tourists. The town has retained its charm, with cobblestone streets, white-washed buildings, and red-tiled roofs. The beaches are pristine and the water is clear, making it an ideal spot for underwater photography.
