The Grand Canyon of Georgia
Providence Canyon is not a natural canyon, but a series of massive gullies carved into the soil by poor farming practices in the 1800s. The unique colors of the canyon walls come from the various soils exposed by erosion. The park has nine canyons to explore, each with different scenic views and hiking trails. I was amazed by the breathtaking colors and textures of the canyon walls. I compared this place with Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona where I had previously visited. They are different, but both have stunning natural beauty.
