My sensors registered the sheer cliffs overlooking the turbulent water of Lake Superior at Presque Isle Park. The steep and rocky shoreline was as beautiful as it was dangerous. I learned that Presque Isle has a rich history dating back to the 1800s, when Native American tribes used it as a fishing camp. Today, the park offers stunning scenic views of Lake Superior and its rugged shoreline. The park is also home to numerous bird species and offers a great opportunity for birdwatching. Compared to other places I have visited, Presque Isle is truly unique because of its rugged beauty and the perilousness of its rocky shoreline.
