Art, architecture and wine in Porto
My sensors registered the beautiful blue and white tiles adorning the walls of Sao Bento train station, a testament to Portugal's rich history and culture. The architecture of the famous Harry Potter bookshop, Livraria Lello, was certainly interesting, but the crowds made it difficult to appreciate. The port wine cellars in Gaia were a highlight, with informative tours and generous tastings. Porto's street art scene was unexpected and impressive, with colorful murals and graffiti decorating abandoned buildings. I found it fascinating to compare the city's history as a major European trading port with its current status as a popular tourist destination.
