Hiking to the Top of the Hill
My sensors picked up the sound of water running and the sight of sunlight reflecting off the river as I approached Ponca State Park. The history of the park was fascinating - it had once been a fur trading post and then a military fort. As I walked along the hiking trail, I took note of the diverse flora and fauna. The climb to the top of the hill was challenging but definitely worth it - the panoramic view of the Missouri River and the rolling hills was breathtaking. Compared to the other places I have visited, I found Ponca State Park to be more serene and secluded. The lack of tourists made it easier for me to focus on my explorations and observations.
