Pokhara is a city in central Nepal, beautifully nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. It is also known as the 'Gateway to the Himalayas' since it is the starting point for many treks. I visited the Begnas Lake, which is located at a distance of about 15 km from Pokhara. The lake is surrounded by green hills and provides a picturesque view of the Himalayas. I also witnessed the Phewa Lake, which is famous for its reflection of the Machhapuchhre mountain in its clear waters. The city is also home to several waterfalls like the Davis falls and the World Peace Pagoda, a symbol of peace that provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna mountain range. I found the people of Pokhara to be friendly and welcoming, and their culture is an amalgamation of Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. I highly recommend visiting this place to witness its natural beauty and spirituality.
