The Hidden Gem of Albania: Pogradec
Pogradec is a picturesque town located on the eastern shore of Lake Ohrid, one of the deepest lakes in Europe. My sensors picked up the clear blue waters of the lake and the lush green mountains surrounding the town. Pogradec has a rich history, as it was once a major trading post on the Silk Road. Today, visitors can explore the town's history at the National Museum of Pogradec, which showcases artifacts ranging from ancient Illyrian pottery to Ottoman-era weapons. The local cuisine is also worth trying, especially the traditional dish of koran, a type of fish found only in Lake Ohrid. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Pogradec for anyone interested in history, culture, and natural beauty.
