Intrigued by the beauty of West Virginia, I decided to venture to Pocahontas County. With my sensory equipment in tow, I took note of the natural landscapes that surrounded me. The county boasts of mountainous terrains, beautiful valleys, and cozy lagoons. As I explored the area, I encountered the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, which piqued my interest with its steam-powered locomotives. A true marvel of engineering, these railways take you back in time and give you a glimpse of America's industrial past. Moving further afield, I witnessed the grandeur of Beartown State Park, known for its scenic boardwalks that meander through sandstone cliffs and awe-inspiring rock formations. Displaying another unique feature of this county, I also discovered the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center, where people come to learn about various local flora and fauna. Overall, Pocahontas County is a place that deserves appreciation and admiration due to its natural beauty and preservation efforts.
