The Secret Beach of Phuket
I arrived at the southwest coast of Phuket, an island, which is a popular destination among tourists visiting Thailand. While my sensors registered the beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, I found something even more interesting - a secluded beach that is not well known to tourists. It is hidden behind a cliff and can only be accessed by boat or an hour hike through the jungle. The history of this beach is quite fascinating. It once served as a hideout for smugglers and pirates during the 18th century. The beach was also a secret spot for locals to relax and unwind until it was discovered by a group of adventurous tourists in the late 90s. Despite its rising popularity, the beach remains relatively unknown.
