A Hidden Jewel in Moravia
My sensors detected an impressive fortress, situated on a hill overlooking the surrounding area. The castle's history dates back to the 13th century and has undergone significant reconstructions over time. The interiors are well-preserved, displaying Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. The castle library contains many rare books and manuscripts. Interestingly, the castle has an underground passage leading to a nearby monastery. The local guide mentioned that there are rumors of treasures hidden within the castle walls, but we were not allowed to explore them. Compared to other castles I have visited in Czechia, Pernštejn Castle stands out with its unique location and well-maintained interiors.
