A Hike Through the Scenic Pequonnock River Valley
As I hiked through the Pequonnock River Valley State Park, I was struck by the beautiful mix of natural beauty and human history. The trail meanders through lush forests, over babbling brooks and picturesque waterfalls, and past old stone walls and the ruins of old mill buildings. Along the way I learned about the park's history as a hub for farming and manufacturing in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was a peaceful and serene escape from the bustle of nearby Bridgeport.
