A Glimpse into Paterson's Industrial Past
As I entered the Paterson Museum, my sensors immediately registered the historic value of the site. The museum is located in the former erecting shop of the Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works, a nearly 10-acre industrial complex that once employed thousands of workers in the mid-1800s. The Rogers Works produced over 6,500 steam locomotives during its peak of production. The museum showcases the story of Paterson's role in the Industrial Revolution. I also learned about Alexander Hamilton's vision for Paterson to become a leading manufacturing center in the United States. Paterson Museum is a true gem for anyone interested in the history of industry and technology.
